Roadies is one of the best shows ever. I have not been following up roadies form the start. In fact, Roadies was started some five years back. But it was only until recently that I had really started seeing this show. Because I have never had set up box in my place. The royal challengers have been beaten yet again and that too in their home ground. They suffered the defeat in the hands of the Punjab Kings XI. It was a one sided match. Only DRavid seemed to be really motivated to win the match for the Royal Challengers. Other than him everyone was throwing away their wickets. It looked like as though they were playing for just the big bucks and nothing else. The Royal challengers have established themselves as the under dogs of the tournament. Kuruvi flops!!

Vijay is one of actors in the tamil cinema industry whose films can be expected to make a minimum guarantee for the producers. Most of his films have always been hits. The movie released last week and true to the tradition that movies with great hype seldom click at the box office, the movie was a box office disaster.

Chennai wins!!

Chennai super Kings has won the match against the Punjab Kings XI, in the league match at Chennai. The match started off to be weak start for the Chennai team but later a blitzkrieg from Badrinath proved very effective to add to the sum total. The partnership between Badrinath and Dhoni was the highlight of the batting performance of the Chennai Super Kings. The bowling performance was also very good. But there was an excellent spell awaiting the crowd, when Balaji came into the attack and picked up two important wickets. The big moment came when Balaji came into his last over and then the hat-trick happened. Balaji was out of action for almost two years because of an injury and he had an array of surgeries on his back and he came back and bowls to an excellent performance. Now when this was the stage, there was someone who should not be forgotten and that guy is Badrinath. HIs performance was over shadowed by Balaji's excellent bowling performance. The man showed excellent skill and was elegant in his quick fire 64. And also Dhoni should not be forgotten for his handy 60. Anyway, it was team effort and ultimately Chennai won, and that is all that counts. Kudos to the team. Way to go guyz. Keep up the momentum.

Rajasthan winning all the way!!

The Indian Premier League has lived up to its hype. It has been providing some exciting games of cricket. There is no way that such an excitement would have been possible with any other means of cricketing games. After the initial games, Chennai Super Kings were on the top. But three games after their first position stand, they have crawled wooden with three consecutive losses. Rajasthan Royals are the ones that are on top of the table now. They were the underdogs in the start of the tournament. Thanks to Shane Warne who is the captain by the day and coach by the night. The only reason why Rajasthan Royals are on top of the table is the important role played by Shane Warne in inspiring the boys to play wholesome cricket and improve their standards.

3. A question on the practical necessity of the current reversal tampering module was raised. A detailed explanation of the scenario which necessitates the module was given.

The recent and hot news of today is the come-back of actor Murali who had lost demand for a few years probably about 4 to 5 years. Murali had given the tamil cinema industry some block buster hits and had carved his name as one of the outstanding actors of that time but his last few movies turned out to be a flop. He had made a leap towards politics by campaigning for AIADMK in the recently held assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. He then decided to concentrate on cinema itself and is now playing the lead-role in the movie 'Enga Rasi nalla rasi'. The movie casts S. Ve. Shekar, Chinni Jayanth, Nalini and many others along with Murali. The movie is being produced by GK. When asked about the movie to director Raviraja, he said "The movie will turn out to be a family entertainer and will have comedy all through".

The Indian government!!

Politics has never been my favorite topic of discussion. But the way the Indian Political system is heading is making sure that I write a post on this topic as well. In my frank opinion, the government at the center is pretty useless. It is a spineless government headed by Manmohan Singh as the prime minister. Even though he is the prime minister of the country, it is a well known fact, that it is Sonia Gandhi, the president of the Indian National Congress, who is running the country behind the back of Manmohan Singh. The government at the center is a coalition government and is completely dependent on its allies and coalition partners in the states. The state of the government is that it has to cater to the needs of all its allies and it acts to the whims and fancies of the parties. Such is the pathetic state of governance in this country. And one more fact that has to be looked into is the biased politics of this government. Ministers should be appointed on the bases of qualifications and experience, but here it is done solely on the basis of the advice and the favoritism of coalition partners. It is like, the partners demand certain portfolios for their party members and it is given to then under a carefully formulated agreement. This clearly reflects the sorry state of affairs of the Indian Government.

Reliance industries is on a role. Atleast that is what I guess. The company is rated as one of the country's most important asset and has been moving up and up in every sector it has set its foot on. This has led to rich dividends for the share holders of Reliance. Mukesh Ambani, has made so much money that he is building a grand house with 27 floors for a whooping 8000 crore rupees. The company has always been a source of pride for Indians all over the world. It has taken the Brand India to the world along with other groups like that of the TATAs and the Birlas. THis is something to be proud off as an Indian. Atleast that is how I feel. Mukesh Ambani has brought the Mumbai Franchise of the Indian Premier League. This is not possible when you dont have hell a lot of money. I believe this is a standing proof of the money that these guys have. One can only envy the great growth that the company has achieved in recent times. We can only stand in awe of the growth and get inspired to work and attain great heights like that of these guys.

I was searching for a piece of information on two IIT graduates who aspire to become great businessmen sometime in the future. This post is not about them. But while searching, I found "Domain-b". For all those who ignorant of the fact of the matter, domain-b is an online business news paper, edited by Kiron Kasbekar. ( Kiron was the former editor of The Economic Times and the managing editor of Business India).

I checked out the site and I would say it had all the information I was looking for. It does live up to its tagline " the online B magazine ". Coming from Kiron, to whose works am quite familiar as a reader of The economic times and business India, this is no suprise.

It starts off with the latest on the Economic forum and then moves on to a huge list of economic news items and topics. I was able to reach out to all topics I had missed and also was exposed to a lot of new articles. And ofcourse, I did find the information I wanted on the IIT graduates as well.

But I would say that, something can be done about the template of the website. Its pretty congested with a lot of information. If that is paid attention to, then reading would be an absolute pleasure.

Rajasthan - home to the pink city!!

I have always wanted to visit the lands of the rajputs and my dream came true with this tour I went on with my school friends. It is one of the most amazing experiences ever. We started off to Jaipur on a flight from the Chennai airport on Thursday. It is only a few hours travel to the City of Jaipur. It was only a couple of hours before we got to Jaipur. Jaipur is truly unique in its own way. The pink palaces tell you why it has been rightly names the Pink city. We traveled into the deserts and it was the most beautifl experience. We saw many palaces and gardens that belonged to the Moughal Rulers and was an awesome and memorable experience. I think everyone one of us should visit this great place and enjoy the beauty of this place. Come to Rajasthan and enjoy the beauty of the deserts and the camels. This was the first time I was actually seeing a camel. I had never seen one before and these are very soft animals. So what are you waiting for?. Chilling out with nature is one of the best ways to regenerate your soul and stir it up so that you get more energy. My holidays have started and I am very bored and this is when my friend put me through to get into a call center job. It is nothing but the offer to work as a Customer Support Officer in BPO company. BPO is nothing but Business Process Outsourcing. This is where calls to customer care centers in the United States are routed to India and these calls will be attended by the Indian work force in India. This is a unique business proposal in iteself. It offers the employee the opportunity to work as a part time but at the same time earn a lump sum of money which could be used to look into domestic needs. There is more than money to this business proposal. This concept is a hit among many sections of the societies and more and more people are taking up into this job.

The main reason for the success of this technique is the fact that it is quick money and the other facilities it offers. For example, there is a pick up and drop facility which would save the employees the strain of taking independent transport to workplaces. I would love to tell my experience in a call center interview, but will do so after quite some time. So until I get my post about the call center or the BPO interview, you guys take care and also make your research about getting into a call center. It can be fun. It would be a memorable experience.
