Roadies - Interesting eh?!

Roadies is one of the best shows ever. I have not been following up roadies form the start. In fact, Roadies was started some five years back. But it was only until recently that I had really started seeing this show. Because I have never had set up box in my place. We had it on a couple of days back and we are now enjoying watching Television all day. And this is precisely when I started watching Roadies as well. The show looks dumb but then I really can not stop watching the show. Rann Vijay looks cool. The contestants look stupid but then, that is the fun of it. It is so much fun to see dumb kids do dumb things. Right now, there is only one episode left with the roadies and there are three participants left. And they are Sonel, Nihal and Ashu. Sonel is the dumbest of the three. Nihal and Ashu appear to be right on their minds. It remains to be seen how these guys are going to turn up. Every week there is some dumb task to do and the guys screw it up big time. It remains to be seen what is going to come up this week and how these guys are going to do it. All that said, the show sucks big time but I still like watching it. Ask me Why?. I really do not have an answer.

Heights of stupidity

There are so many ways to get famous. But there is only one woman whom I think has got famous by staying stupid and that women is none other than the great Rakhi Savant. She thinks she is the sec bomb of bollywood. But I can never see her more than a stupid woman with assets that she has got from a silicon operation. She thinks she is sexy. She thinks she is hot. But I think she is nuts and is the most awful thing to have happened to Bollywood ever. I think Bollywood should realise this too and ask her to stay silent and out of controversies. The Headlines today Gig on Valentines day was the most awful thing ever. ANd that too on a news channel. It explains the poor state of affairs in the field of media. Headlines today has become nothing but a crap bag. I can only feel sorry for that damned channel. Strict policies should be made and made sure that such things does not happen in the future. There should be no such crap on TV ever again. And stringent laws must be issued by the government of India to make sure that such crap does not take place again.

Kuruvi flops!!

Vijay is one of actors in the tamil cinema industry whose films can be expected to make a minimum guarantee for the producers. Most of his films have always been hits. Dharani is an ace director who has given three back to back hits with Dhil, Dhool and Gilli. Gilli, being his last film in the Tamil Industry with Vijay. Gilli was a run away hit with collections sky rocketing. That film had Trisha playing the female lead. After Gilli, it was all hits for Vijay until aadhi happened and then POkiri came by and it was a run away hit as well. Azhagiya Thamizh Magan was an average grosser and this is when there was this talk about "Kuruvi", where Vijay and Dharani are coming together for the second time. Again Trisha was playing the female lead. The hype was generated because of the fact that it is a hit combination. The movie is produced by Udhyanidhi Stalin, the grandson of Karunanidhi, on behalf of Red Giant movies. This had generated the hype for the movie. The movie released last week and true to the tradition that movies with great hype seldom click at the box office, the movie was a box office disaster.

Jackie chan coming to Chennai!!

It is a well known fact that Kamal Hassan always does the best of things and his movies as well as all the functions associated with it occur with the best of pomp and splendor. His ordinary movies itself command so much of hype and hoople, so we can calcualte the amount of hype that would be surrounding his magnum opus 'Dasavadharam' where he dons ten roles. The latest buzz in the desavadharam unit is that the star has plans to invite Jackie Chan and it also looks like the word has already been sent and mostly Jackie Chan would accept the invitation and fly to Chennai for the special release of the Dasavadharam audio cassette and the audio cds. The link to Jackie Chan comes from the fact that the producer of the movie, Oscar V. Ravichandran has been distributing Jackie Chan's films in India for almost more than a decade and hence Jackie has been kind enough to come to the function despite his very busy schedule with the olympics and the torch bearining schedule. He is one of the torch bearers of the olympic games.

Indian premier league

There is more than cricket when it comes to the India Premier League. Apart from the cricket and the hype that it has generated as India's costlier league and the first ever league that has been intiated by one of the ICC's member playing country, there is also the bolly wood quotient that the Indian Premier League enjoys. Since Priety Zinta and Shah Rukh Khna are the proud owners of the Punjab franchise and the Kolkate franchise which have christened themselves as the Punjab Kings XI and Kolkata Knight riders, other teams have decided upon booking bollywood stars as their brand ambassadors. THe mumbai team or the Mumbai Indian team has booked on to Hrithik Roshan and the Delhi dare devil team has booked up Akshay Kumar to be their brand ambassadors. Meanwhile the Chennai Super Kings team has stayed faithful to the South Indian Cinema Industry and has reserved Vijay as its brand ambassador. So there we have it. We have the names of the brand ambassadors for some of the teams and it has shown that the bollywood quotient has been quite unavoidable as far as cricket or the Indian Premier League is concerned. AAmir Khan with ghajini!!

There are not many actors who lie life they want and these are the actors who produce movie the way they want them. One such person in the tamil cinema industry is Kamal Hasan. But this is not about him. We are talking about Aamir Khan. After Taare zameen par, the kid movie, which earned him buck load of money, he has planned to work on his next movie with the director from the South. THe name of the director is Murugadoss and the film they are going to make is a remake of the tamil super hit "Ghajini". The movie is sure to be a good one with ace camera man, Ravi.K.Chandran and ace music director A.R.Rahman, doing the tunes. This is bound to be a huge block buster. The tamil film starred Surya and Asin. The hindi film stars AAmir Khan (obviously) and Asin is retained as the heroine. NAyanthara was the glamor quotient in the tamnil movie and this place is taken by Jia khan of Nishabdh fame. This movie is told to be a copy of the Memento by GUy richie but Aamir says neither the tamil movie or the hindi version has any relation to the english original. According to him this is a genuine case of a movie inspired from an english knot.
