Defeated yet again!!

The royal challengers have been beaten yet again and that too in their home ground. They suffered the defeat in the hands of the Punjab Kings XI. The team has been the under dogs of the Board of Control for Cricket in India(BCCI) sponsored India Premier League or the IPL. Their only win has come against the Mumbai Indians in their nascent stages in the tournament. That was a Mumbai team which suffered under the pathetic captaincy of Harbhajan Singh. But now, the Mumbai Indians team is very strong under the captaincy of Shaun Pollock and with Sachin Tendulkar slowly recovering, the team is all set to rock. Coming to today;s match. It was a one sided match. Only DRavid seemed to be really motivated to win the match for the Royal Challengers. Other than him everyone was throwing away their wickets. It looked like as though they were playing for just the big bucks and nothing else. The Royal challengers have established themselves as the under dogs of the tournament. It is high time that they did somethinhg about their bad run, roll up their sleeves and do something about making a mark in the tournament.

Chennai wins!!

Chennai super Kings has won the match against the Punjab Kings XI, in the league match at Chennai. The match started off to be weak start for the Chennai team but later a blitzkrieg from Badrinath proved very effective to add to the sum total. The partnership between Badrinath and Dhoni was the highlight of the batting performance of the Chennai Super Kings. The bowling performance was also very good. But there was an excellent spell awaiting the crowd, when Balaji came into the attack and picked up two important wickets. The big moment came when Balaji came into his last over and then the hat-trick happened. Balaji was out of action for almost two years because of an injury and he had an array of surgeries on his back and he came back and bowls to an excellent performance. Now when this was the stage, there was someone who should not be forgotten and that guy is Badrinath. HIs performance was over shadowed by Balaji's excellent bowling performance. The man showed excellent skill and was elegant in his quick fire 64. And also Dhoni should not be forgotten for his handy 60. Anyway, it was team effort and ultimately Chennai won, and that is all that counts. Kudos to the team. Way to go guyz. Keep up the momentum.

Rajasthan winning all the way!!

The Indian Premier League has lived up to its hype. It has been providing some exciting games of cricket. There is no way that such an excitement would have been possible with any other means of cricketing games. After the initial games, Chennai Super Kings were on the top. But three games after their first position stand, they have crawled wooden with three consecutive losses. Rajasthan Royals are the ones that are on top of the table now. They were the underdogs in the start of the tournament. Thanks to Shane Warne who is the captain by the day and coach by the night. The only reason why Rajasthan Royals are on top of the table is the important role played by Shane Warne in inspiring the boys to play wholesome cricket and improve their standards.

Indian clinches trophy - creates history!!

India has done it again. It has done what it is best at - taking revenge. We did it to the Australians in the freedom cup. Now we have done it to the South Africans in the Future cup. The Indian team defeated South Africa to square the series 1-1, in the final test at Kanpur. Sourav Ganguly was adjudged man of the match and Harbhajan Singh was declared the plater of the tournament. The team was highly criticized when they were bowled out for 76 in the first innings of the second test at Ahmedabad. With this win, the team has silenced its critics. The Indian teams performance can be said to be excellent and was a treat to watch.

The Indians have always played good cricket and this is no exception and stands out as a example of the talent we have in this country. Especially, the win is very special since it comes as a fitting reply to the badly behaved Aussies and their over confidence has been completely destroyed and routed for good. But it remains to be seen if India can maintain this kind of a form for its forthcoming series. let us all hope that India keeps up this work and maintain their good form and go ahead crushing other teams and clinching more trophies and bring laurels to the country.
